Join us for a great night of piping with our guest Alasdair Henderson.
Alasdair is the Pipe Sergeant of two-time World Pipe Band Champions, Inverary and District. Alasdair also has an incredible solo piping record with both the Northern Meeting and Argyllshire Gathering gold medals, the former winners MSR at Oban and the MSR at the Masters invitational contest, to name but a few of his titles.

Neil has been a regular competitor at the world’s premier solo piping competitions at the Argyllshire Gathering in Oban and the Northern Meeting in Inverness for many years.
Neil’s principal prizes on the solo circuit include the following:
Placed 3rd twice in Seliver Medal at Argyllshire Gathering in Oban Winner of ‘A’ Grade Marches at the Argyllshire Gathering in Oban Winner of March and Strathspey & Reel events and Overall Champion at the Braemar Gathering Winner of ‘A’ Grade March, Strathspey and Reel and 2nd in Gold Medal Piobaireachd at R.U. Brown Gold Medal Competition in Adelaide
Following his light music successes at Oban in 2011 and Inverness in 2016, Neil is qualified to compete in the elite lever Former Winners March, Strathspey and Reel event at both contests. In addition to his solo career, Neil also has extensive Pipe Band experience having played at Grade 1 level with Strathclyde Police Pipe Band, Shotts & Dykehead Pipe Band and WA Police Pipe Band. In 2013 Neil moved from Scotland to Perth, WA to join WA Police Band as the Band Officer where he remains to this day.
Neil was recently appointed Pipe Sergeant of the WA Police Pipe Band and Lead Coordinator of the WA Police Youth Development Pipe Band.
In May 2024, after a hiatus of almost 5 years, Neil made a successful return to the competition scene at the R.U. Brown Gold Medal Competition in Adelaide by winning the ‘A’ Grade MSR and placing 2nd in the Gold Medal Piobaireachd event.
Neil is very much looking forward to attending the Victorian Championships for the first time.
